SinaiFree Film Society Discussion of "Orchestra of Exiles"

08 Jan @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The SinaiFree Film Society will discuss “Orchestra of Exiles.”

This documentary follows the odyssey of virtuoso Polish violinist Bronislaw Huberman. Before the Nazis came to power, Huberman was focused only on building his own career. Witnessing Hitler’s agenda was a call to action that Huberman could not ignore. Through his monumental efforts, dozens of leading Jewish musicians and their families emigrated from Europe to Palestine, where Huberman founded the Palestine Symphony Orchestra, now the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

This film can be streamed for free on Kanopy and Hoopla, and for $3.99 on Apple TV.
