NEW YORK BLOOD CENTER DECLARES BLOOD EMERGENCY AS DONATIONS PLUMMET FOLLOWING HOLIDAYS, SEVERE WEATHER AND RECORD ILLNESS

We are hosting our annual Blood Drive at Sinai Free Synagogue sponsored by the New York Blood Center. The sanctity of human life is a basic tenet of Judaism. And one way to help save human lives is by donating blood. NYBC is issuing an urgent call for blood. Blood donations have dropped nearly 40% below what is needed due to severe weather, widespread illness and holiday disruptions, resulting in critically low levels of blood.
