HELP ALLEVIATE HUNGER IN MOUNT VERNON

People in our own Mount Vernon community are suffering and need food for their familiesThis year, the need is especially dire. The SNAP program which had provided extra food resources during COVID has been eliminated. Helping the hungry is our Mitzvah.

This fourth annual Passover Feeding Mount Vernon campaign runs through Passover. Rabbi Barzilai reminds us in the opening paragraph of the Haggadah recited at the Seder, we declare: All who are hungry, let them come and eat. Our nation is a singular entity, and in order to experience freedom ourselves, we must ensure that our brothers and sisters have the means to celebrate freedom too.

Make your donation directly to SFS. We will issue one check to the Feeding Mount Vernon campaignthrough Feeding Westchester. They purchase nourishing food from farmers, manufacturers and retailers & provide it to hungry people in our Mount Vernon community. Your donation is tax-deductible.

You may mail a check to the synagogue, made out to Sinai Free Synagogue, and indicate Feeding Mt. Vernon in the memo or you may pay on the website. Click HERE

Thank you for your generosity in the spirit of this Passover season.
