SinaiFree Film Society Discussion of "Oma and Bella”
04 Mar @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The SinaiFree Film Society will discuss “Oma and Bella.”
Alexa Karolinski, co-creator of the Netflix miniseries “Unorthodox,” directed this documentary about her grandmother Regina Karolinski (Oma) and her grandmother’s best friend Bella Katz. It is a loving portrait of two women with very different personalities, united by their shared experience as Holocaust survivors. The women carry on an active life, full of conversation and social connections. A great deal of their lives revolves around food, which they purchase and prepare with loving skill. In German with subtitles. Our discussion will celebrate Women’s History Month.
The film is available for free on Fawesome.TV, Cineverse (with ads or by subscription [7-day free trial available]); and Fandor (subscription, 7-day free trial available); for $2.99 from Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Fandor and Google Play; and for $4.99 from Apple TV.
