SinaiFree Film Society Discussion of "Diner."

10 Dec @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The SinaiFree Film Society will discuss “Diner.”

This comedy-drama, set in 1959, follows a group of close-knit male friends in their early twenties as they navigate the transition to adulthood. The film focuses on their camaraderie and personal struggles as they gather at their favorite diner for the Christmas holidays, dealing with issues like impending marriage, career choices, and relationship problems. “Diner” was Barry Levinson’s directorial debut, and the first in his tetralogy of films set in his native Baltimore; it was followed by “Tin Men,” “Avalon” (which the Film Society discussed in 2021), and “Liberty Heights”.

“Diner” is available for $2.99 from Amazon Prime, Google Play, YouTube, Apple TV and Fandango at Home. There are 11 DVDs in the Westchester Library System and four in the New York Public Library.
